Since the beginning of the CBD-rich hemp extract industry emergence, over a decade ago, CV Sciences has consistently pushed the research forward. We believe in the power of this plant and have been willing to invest the money it takes to fund research to prove both its safety and efficacy. We were the first to do the standard toxicologic analysis that most dietary supplements undergo. But we didn't just focus on preclinical work. We funded researchers to see how hemp extracts worked in healthy humans, what effects were seen in people with PTSD, anxiety, and insomnia. And most of all, we set up our own post-marketing surveillance medical team to collect any and all reports of negative effects from our products. While there weren't many, we wanted to be a company who shared all of the data, good and bad, with our customers and with the broader research community.
